This project focused on designing a new integrated feature for street bike dashboards that allows riders to locate and connect with nearby friends or other active riders in real time. Built around the needs of sport riders seeking community and smart connectivity, the feature enables seamless group ride coordination, ride invitations, and live navigation—all directly from the dashboard. The design process included user research, persona development, journey mapping, competitive analysis, and iterative testing to ensure both safety and usability. The final solution blends performance with social connection, enhancing the riding experience through intuitive, rider-centered design.

Feature The intigrated dashboard feature allways the rider to select between either their friends list, single riders, group rides, or they are able to create their own ride and invite all of their friends and allow others to join!
Ride With Friends
Create Group Ride
When the user wants to ride with just a single friend, they are brought to their friends list and are able to see who is currently out riding. It shows how far each friend is to the users current location. If the user wants to start a group ride, they are brought to their friends list, which shows who is currently out riding. The user is then able to select a minimum of two of their friends to send a ride request to.
Find Group Rides Find Single Riders
When finding group rides, the user is able to see the nearest groups and approximately how far they are to them. Once the user sends a request to the group, everyone in the group gets a ride request notification and then are able to accept or decline the ride request. When finding new single riders, the user is able to see a list of the nearest riders and approximately how far they are to the user. Once the user sends a request to the single rider, that rider is then able to accept or decline the ride request sent.

When a rider recives a ride request, they will be greated with a popup allowing them to accept or decline the request. If the rider accepts the request, they will then be able to add that rider as a friend!
